A small paddle boat can be utilized to traverse the lake. Bring your fishing gear and life jackets for the children 18 and under. A license is not required for community lake fishing. Geese and ducks often visit our spring-fed lake which feeds the parallel running Fontana Lake waterway.

Brockett Cabins is your home away from home!My name is Sandi Brockett, and I represent and manage 9 cabins and chalets in Tobacco Branch Village, a private well-maintained beautiful mountain community in the Smoky Mountains. We are located in Almond, North Carolina which is 3.5 hours from the Atlanta airport, 1.5 hours from Asheville, and 20 minutes away from Bryson City. The community is surrounded by mountains and forest and of course God's glory. The cabins and chalets are nestled into the mountain, with each home providing plenty of seclusion. We are 2800 feet elevated. At the heart of the community is a private, spring-fed lake and community area. A pavillion is located at the community area for large picnics. Shuffleboard courts and open fields are also available. Some area attractions include whitewater rafting and the zip line canopy tours. These are 10 minutes away, and we able to offer a 10% discount on these tours. Additional fun things to do include Tsali Mountain Biking (5 minutes away) and the Cherokee Indian Reservation and Casino (30 minutes away). Joyce Kilmer Forest, Cades Cove, and Smoky Mountain Railroad train are within an hours drive. We have been members of the Bryson City Chamber of Commerce for over 16 years. The main floor includes a great room with wood burning fireplace, dining room with table that seats 10, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, laundry room, full bath, and master bedroom with a queen size bed. Upstairs you will find a loft reading area with two massage recliners, two bedrooms (1 - queen size bed, 1- full/twin bunk with twin trundle, and a full bathroom). Our basement includes family and game room with pool table, air hockey table, big screen TV, and PlayStation 2. You will also find two bedrooms with queens size beds and a full bathroom. Our home will sleep up to 12 guests.

A railroad wood burning stove is located in the living room. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other bedroom has twin beds. The kitchen is fully equipped. The front porch provides plenty of rocking-chair space and the side deck provides a private hot tub area.
